Maer-Qingshan Tourist Bikeway

The cycling route in Sandimen Township's Anpo Village was the first tourism bike trail opened by Pingtung County Government. It was developed on an old mountain road and now connects the villages of Saijia, Koushe, Qinshan and Maer. Along it, visitors can enjoy both charming views and distinctive aboriginal cultures. The route between Maer Village and Anpo Village slopes gently. At the entrance to Maer Village there is a statue of a warrior on horseback; this is the village's landmark. After passing through Maple Avenue, cyclists will arrive at this peaceful aboriginal village. The buildings, sculptures and paintings in Qingshan Village are very special and characteristic of local culture. In addition, the famous Sea God Temple scenic area is also here. Visitors can enjoy a picnic, camp, and enjoy the freshness of nature.

Sports Park

With an area of more than 20 hectares, this sports park is not only a leisure space but also a public art exhibition site. At the entrance a memorial statue commemorates weightlifter Kuo Yi-hang, who won a bronze medal in the 2000 Olympic Games. The park has slate pavilions where visitors can rest. In addition, just outside the park there's a bicycle landscape bridge, the first in Pingtung County. The two bright red tension-steel cylinders intersect to form a beautiful arched shape.

Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation's Pingtung Distillery

The distillery mainly produces rice wine, strong rice spirit, fragrant rice wine, fragrant cooking wine, and Dawu Kaoliang liquor. It produces more rice wine than any of the company's other distilleries. Some installation art has been placed in the distillery; the art incorporates jars in which wine is matured. There is an exhibition and sales center where visitors can purchase gifts and souvenirs, or enjoy some refreshing ice.

Taiwu Challenge Forestry Road

The mountain road from Taiwu Township Office to Taiwu Village, which is 700m above sea level, has served as an "Ironman" competition venue for many years. This section offers vast vistas and visitors of all kinds (not only cyclists) can sip coffee while resting and enjoying superb views of Pingtung's plains and Kaohsiung City. Some cyclists choose alternative routes to Jiaxing Village or Laiyi Township's Dahou, then cycle on to Chaozhou Township.
