YuYuPas

With a name that suggests wealth and peace in the Tsou  dialect, YuYuPas is a cultural park dedicated to the Tsou Tribe and a part of an Alishan tea garden 1,200 meters above sea level. This cultural community is intended to develop industries unique to indigenous Taiwanese, while creating jobs for young Tsou tribespeople. Highlights on the premises include: the Hamo Museum of Tsou Culture, the Mafei Restaurant, five tea parlors dedicated to each of the five most prominent Tsou clans, the Princess' House souvenirs shop, the Maodanuo Theater, the Thousand-year Cypress Store selling Hinoki cypress products, and a handicraft center resembling a Tsou tribal hut.

Fushan Historic Trail

The 5-kilometer trail is a part of the Fushan tribal reserve in Leye Village. Hikers in the trail's well-paved Miyang-Fushan section will be impressed by the constant chirping of birds and sounds of insects from a diverse forest eco-system, while being frequently greeted by birds inhabiting mid-or low-altitude areas, such as: Muller's Barbet, Steere's Babbler (Liocichla steerii), Red0headed Babbler (Stachyris ruficeps), Formosan Yuhina (Yuhina brunneiceps) and White-eared Sibia (Heterophasia auricularis).  A summerhouse on the historic trail commands a mentally and physically refreshing view of Miyang Waterfall.

Taptuana National Reserve in Dabang Village

The Dabang Village of Alishan Township boasts abundant natural resources in it's two main eco-reserves: lskiana and Taptuana. To keep their primitive forests intact, people in Dabang have worked hard to preserve life forms in the rivers and woodlands. The Taptuana National Reserve is one of Alishan's largest treasure troves of natural resources, given it's estimated 73 bird species, including: the Black Bulbul (Hypsipetes leucocephalus), Red-headed Babbler, Muller's Barbet and White-throated Flycatcher Warbler (Abroscopus albogularis), besides rivers teeming with fish.
