Shigang Reservoir

Built in 1974, Shigang Reservoir suffered severe damage from the 921 earthquake, as it is located on the Chelungpu Fault. Dam gates Nos. 16, 17and 18, found right on the fault, were so badly destroyed that they were beyond repair. Therefore, their remnant has been preserved and a monument was set up on the site as a memorial to the earthquake. The natural landscapes near the dam have been well preserved and this area is also a well-known central Taiwan bird watching zone. Moreover, next to the dam's entrance you'll find another attraction, the Dongfeng Bike Green Corridor, built on top of an abandoned railway.

Lovers' Wooden Bridge

The Lover's Wooden Bridge , crossing the Shishuike River, is 4o meters in length, 3.5 meters in width and  was completed in 2001. Connected to the Lovers' Shopping Street, the bridge has many adjacent attractions, including a huge waterwheel, riverside observation deck, flower area and hiking trails,The Shishuike River flows past all year and it's gently-flowing ripples make visitors feel completely refreshed. In the surrounding area, there are still many outdoor restaurants with natural scenery, allowing bicyclists to stop by for some rest or leisure time, enjoying things like an outdoor slate-roasting, healthy soups, and scented teas or coffees.

Tu-Nio Hakka Culture Museum

Tuniu Liu's Family House, which collapsed in the 921 earthquake, was rebuilt on site and restored to it's original condition as the Tu-Niu Hakka  Culture Museum. In this way, the museum is not only a witness to history, but also preserves the distinctive Dapu Hakka architechure. Attaching notable importance to the recreation of former times, the museum has also introduced multimedia elements to assist more visitors in becoming acquainted with Hakka culture.
