Ziyunyan Temple

Qingshui Ziyun Temple, also known as the "Guanyin Pavilion", is the largest temple worshiping the goddess Guanyin in the Taichung area. The temple is located at the bottom of Aofeng Mountain in Qingshui. Built during the Kangxi era of the Qing dynasty over 300 years ago, it is now a major religious center for local residents.

Taichung City Seaport Art Center

Taichung Seaport Art Center is located in Qingshui district. It's quaint and elegant building was designed in a Minnan (southern Fujian) architectural style. Open access is the most significant feature of the art center. On holidays, you can find local seniors gathered in the center's corridors, casually playing Nanguan music, folk music or Taiwanese opera, which livens up the whole atmosphere here.

Wuqi Tourist Fish Market

Wuqi Tourist Fish Market is not only a direct-retail fish market, but also a key representive location for tourism, leisure, entertainment and dining. Here diverse freshly-caught seafood is available for your purchase.

Wuqi Old Street

Originally part of Dingheng Street, the Wuqi Old Street was an economic center in the early days and preserves rare architechture from the Qing dynasty. The old Baroque-style buildings exude a distinctive historical aura.

Taichung Metropolitan Park

As a"forest park in a metropolis", Taichung Metropolitan Park provides large open spaces, broad green fields, and a variety of leisure activities, allowing busy city residents to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Jingming Shopping District

Taichung's first pedestrian-only street with numerous exotic sidewalk cafes is located in the Jingming Commercial Area. Walking here is like strolling on the Champs-Elysees in Paris. It's particularly romantic at night, when the street is decorated with lights!

National Museum of Natural Science

The National Museum of Natural Science, Taiwan's first science museum, has 6 major exhibition areas and a diverse variety of exhibitions, fulfilling educational, as well as entertainment and leisure, roles.

Taichung Botanical Garden

Taichung Botanical Garden is located on the back side of the National Museum of Natural Science. Housing up to 750 species of plants,mainly indigenous to Taiwan, the Botanical Garden organizes various special exhibitions corresponding to different themes.

Transportation

Ziyunyan Temple:

1. Get off at the Qingshui stop and walk about 5 minutes.

2.Take Bus No.9, get off at the Qingshui stop and head toward Dajie Rd. for about 5 minutes.

Taichung City Seaport Art Center:

1. Get off at the Ching-Shuei Junior High School stop or the Nanshe Li stop and walk about 7 min.

2. You can get off directly at the Seaport Art Center stop on weekends/holiday between 8:00 and 17:00.

Direction: Get off at the Ching-Shuei Junior High School stop or the Nanshe Li stop and walk toward Zhenzheng Rd.

Wuqi Tourist Fish Market:

1.Get off at the Wu-qi Elementary School stop and trans for to Bus No.57. Get off at the Wuqi Tourist Fish Market stop, walk along Beiti Rd. or follow the signs to reach the Tourist Fish Market.

2.Take Bus No. 57 from Taichung Railway Station and get off at Wuqi Tourist Fish Market stop.

Wuqi Old Street:

Get off at the Wuqi stop and walk straight to the intersection of Wuqi Rd. and Dingheng St. (approx. 5 minutes).

Taichung Metropolitan Park:

1.Get off at the Tunghai Villas stop, transfer to Bus No. 146 and get off at the Taichung Metropolitan Park stop. Or walk along the grassland.

2.Take Bus No. 146 at Taichung Railway Station during holidays and get off at Taichung Metropolitan Park.

Jingming Shopping District:

Get off at the Dinghecuo stop, cross the Taiwan Boulevard and walk in the direction of Jingming Rd. for about 5 minutes.

National Museum of Natural Science:

1.Get off at the National Museum of Natural Science stop and walk for about 3 minutes.

2.Take Bus No. 83, 88, 150 or 168 and get off at the National Museum of Natural Science stop, and walk toward Guanqian Rd. for about 3 minutes.

3.Take Bus No. 37, 45, 71, or 125 and get off at Taichung Botanical Garden (Xitun Rd.).
