Lihpao Land

Da'an Beach

A combination of azure seawater and silky smooth sand perfect for all types of water fun, including kite-boarding and surfing, Da'an Beach invites you to a paradise of blue sky, ocean vistas, sunshine and water sports!

Lihpao Land

Lihpao Land is Taiwan's first dual-theme amusement park, home to the Mala Bay Water Park (known for it's exciting giant wave pool) and the fairytale-like Discovery World, plus shopping outlets, hotel and recreational facilities, ensuring a fun-filled experience that is worth a 7-star rating. Lihpao Land offers a diversity of amusement options, scenic beauty and periodic performances by live bands and pop singers. When night falls, visitors can take a stroll in the dimly-lit, ultra-romantic park grounds while enjoying the music that wafts through the air.

Yuemei Tourism Sugar Factory

The Dajia Sugar Refinery was closed down and transformed into the tourism-oriented, historically significant Yuemei Tourism Sugar Factory, which draws many sightseers with it's architectural facets, typical of the Japanese colonial era. This refinery features Taiwan's one and only funnel-base tunnel, an arched brick passage connecting the back side of the boiler to the funnel. The old photos that decorate the sugar factory's walls take visitors back to the good old days, conjuring up memories of Taiwan's sugar-making past.

Songhe Wine Chateau

The Songhe Wine Chateau is located near Yuemei Sugar Factory and is known for it's unique "Grape Light Corridor". It's owner has successfully integrated recreational, educational and farming facilities into a single tourist attraction.

Ciji Temple in Fengyuan

Located at the intersection of Zhongzheng Rd. and Xinyi St., Ciji Temple is a religious center in the Fengyuan area and has been dedicated to the goddess Mazu (a.k.a the "heavenly mother") for more than two centuries. Besides Mazu, deities enshrined in Ciji Temple's main hall include Emperor Shen-nong, Emperor Wenchang, Guanyin Bodhisattva, the Earth Goddess and Fertility Goddess. The solemn celebration that takes place at the temple on the eve of Mazu's birthday (23rd day of the third lunar month) and a "pilgrimage" on the next day are important annual events for the community.

Miaodong Night Market

After sunset, the brightly lit Miaodong Night Market is crowded with visitors as well as lively food vendors hawking their respective products, notably the famous oyster omelets; crispy-fried "golden" water chestnuts; fragrant and tender Qingshui Pork Chops &Noodles; Jin-Shu Pineapple ice; bite-sized triangular dumplings; pork-stuffed meatballs; and Yong-Fang-Ting Wontons. Those who still have room for more might as well stop by the traditional Taiwanese bakery next to the temple entrance and pick up some amazing pastries for their friends!
