Unrestrained Vigorous Tour Part II
South Bay
Houbihu Yacht Port
Houbihu Yacht Port is biggest fishing port in the Hengchun area. The outer part is used by fishing boats and the inner part is devoted to yachts. The port is the first international yacht port in Taiwan.
Hongchaikeng Fishing Port
Despite the strength of the wind nearby, the Guanshan and Sipingshan mountains shelter visitors to this port, meaning they can join water activities even in the late fall and the winter. The waters abound with various kinds of coral and tropical fish, making this a popular sightseeing location.
Dapeng Bay
Around the bay, there is a tourist Center, Qingzhou Ocean Recreational Area, Dapeng Bay Leisure Area, and round-the-bay cycling routes. Take a boat to travel around the bay, see the Mangrove Ecological Protected Area and experience an island made up of discarded oyster shells.
South Bay
The old name of South Bay is Jinsha Bay, meaning "golden sand bay." The name comes from the beach's white sand which glitters under the sunlight. The waters here are clear, making it a great place for water activities such as surfing and snorkeling.
Jinshuiying Old Trail
This 20km-long trail was originally used by aborigines crossing through the Central Mountain Range from Shuidiliao in Pingtung County's Fangliao Township to Taitung County's Dawu Township. From the trail there are excellent views of North and South Dawu Mountains.
