A-Liang's Scallion Pancake

A-Liang's Scallion Pancake was originally run in a metal-sheet house on Zhongshan Road and later relocated to it's current site. The brightly-illuminated and clean store is different from other vendor stands, drawing tons of gourmets from around Taiwan.

The owner, "A-Liang", is a native of Shandong Province, China. He began his career when young and over many years the reputation of his scallion pancake has become widespread. The handmade fresh dough is chewy, and the crust, pan-fried to be slightly burnt and displaying a holden color, is thinner than other scallion pancake brands. The crust is crispy while the dough is chewy and aromatic. The longer one chews it, the more he or she can taste the sweetness of the crust. This, along with the locally-grown scallion, let the pancake waft fits of mouth-watering fragrance. The pancake has a nostalgic flavor, so even without any sauce or pepper, it's original flavor is tasty enough! Also, vegetarians can also chose the whole wheat crust and enjoy the flavor of flour delicacies.
