Anping Fort

Grade-1 historical heritage, the fort is the first one in Taiwan adopting western-style. It was called Taiwan City and Fort Zeelandia. After Taiwan was retroceded to R.O.C, The name "Fort Zeelandia" was changed into "Anping Fort". The city walls, platform, hall, observatory and park are all well kept and open to the public.

Fort Zeelandia Museum

The museum is the former Anping Tax Office. It employs modern technologies, equipment and various themes to represent the life of Zeelandia in 17th century. Visitors surely can experience what life was like in the past.

Anping Local Culture Center

Over 80 years old, the center formerly was a part of the schoolmaster's dormitory, which was belonged to Simen Elementary School. The District Office is left in the charge of the center in 2007. Visitors can learn about Anping's local culture.

Anping Guanyin Pavilion

It was believed that Anping's fishermen who returned from Mainland China with the statue of Guanyin built the pavilion in 1826. The pavilion enshrines Guanyin and has many devoted believers. A feast celebrating Guanyin's birthday is hosted triennially. The feast always draws a great amount people.

Anping Old Street ( Yanping St., Siaojhong St., Jhongshing St.)

In the 17th century, Dutchmen built Fort Zeelandia at Anping. Yanping St., the first street in Taiwan, thus gave rise to Anping's three-hundred-year-old history. Dutchmen had the city built on the east of Fort Zeelandia; Street Zeelandia ran through the city from south to north crossing another there streets, and they are today's Yanping St., Siaojhong St. and Jhongsing St. The cityscape bears resemblance to a chessboard. It could be regarded as the first metropolis in Taiwan.

Jincheng Recreational Wharf

The wharf is rewarded with FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Award and Yuanzhi Award in 2009. Visitors can enjoy their time here by going sightseeing, picnic, or for a walk on the footpath and appreciating the view.

Sio-House

Formerly, the house was a warehouse storing salt. It adopts Japanese and Western styles, and it was believed that early on, it might have been a public building, research center or an office, and it's been remodeled as a staff dormitory afterward.

National Anping Harbor Historic Park

For the past 300 years, Anping Harbor was gradually silted up into a land. Today, this land is combined with newly developed cultural touring sites, and becomes National Anping Harbor Historic Park.

Jhahamu Aboriginal Cultural Park

"Jhahamu" means "Tainan Prfecture" in Cou Tribe; the colorful totems and buildings with special characteristics are all full with Taiwan's Indigenous People's disguising features.

Linmoniang Park

The 18-meter-high statue of Lin Moniang, is made of granite. The park has become the new landmark and tour site in Tainan City.

Anping Oyster Shell Cement Kiln Culture Chamber

The museum is a municipal historical heritage and is the only oyster shell cement kiln left in Taiwan. The museum has a hall and a square for display.

Eternal Golden Castle

The castle is Grade-1 historical heritage and is also called Erkunshen Artillery Battery. It is the first modern western-style artillery battery in Taiwan. In the past, it helped safeguard Anping's coast.
