Meiling

The altitude of Meiling is 800 m. In early days. one of the agricultural specialties in Meiling was banana which made the local nickname the place "Banana Mountain, Plum trees were introduced to Meiling later. When the plum trees blossom, many would come here appreciating the view. The name of the place is thus changed Meiling ('mei' means plum in Chinese). Most plum in Taiwan is produced in Meiling. Meiling hold the largest Plum Festival and Firefly Festival in Taiwan. There are many kinds of hiking tracks for regular visitors and professional hikers to choose from. Have a walk in Meiling, visitors will find themselves embraced by nature.

National Highway No 3→National Highway No 8→Sinhua Interchange→turn left at Provincial Highway No 20→Zuozhen→Provincial Highway No 20 B to Nanhua

National Highway No 3→Guantian Interchange (to Yujing)→Expressway 84→Yujing→turn right at Provincial Highway No 20→Zuozhen→Provincial Highway No 20 B→Ganglin, Moon World→Ganglin Police Station→turn left and drive another 1.2km→Sunrise in Erliao

National Highway No 3→Sinhua Interchange→turn right at Provincial Highway No 20 and keep drive another 1.2km→turn left, head to Hutoubi→take Route 168 and then turn left, and keep drive→Dakang Leisure Farm→Ganglin Police Station→turn right→turn right and drive another 1.2km→Sunrise in Erliao
