Chike Mountain
Chike Mountain was given it's name because of it's tanoaks. The sea of daylilies is the result of the efforts of the settlers who turned a barren mountain top into a garden in the mountains. In the height of summer when the flowers are harvested, farmers shuffle back and forth in the flowers.
Tiefen Waterfall
A narrow stream of water cascading down the cliff side, 26 meter high Tiefen Waterfall resembles a woman with an attractive figure. Tiefen Waterfall Scenic Area has a full range of facilities and, while admiring the waterfall, visitors can enjoy a BBQ.
Xietian Temple
Yuli's Xietian Temple was built in 1875 and has, over more than a century, protected the people of this small town in the south of Hualien; it is the local belief center. It attracts a large number of believers when sacrificial ceremonies are held.
The Lian Family's Former Residence in Changliang
The history of Changliang borough is a microcosm of ethnic groups' settlement over different eras. The Former Residence of the Lian Family is one page in it's prosperous past. The tall camphor trees that surround the old house, with their lush crowns providing welcome shade, wait patiently for time to slowly pass.
Antong Hot Springs
Antong Hot Springs was renowned as one of the "eight sights of Hualien" in earlier times. It's Japanese colonial ear buildings are well-preserved and emit a pleasing air of tranquility. The water is clear and was a lightly sulfurous odor. The water is said to be good for skin, digestive system, women's ailments and external injuries.
Yushan National Park
Nan'an Visitor Center, Nan'an Waterfall, Walami Trail
Nan'an Visitor Center's entrance located in Yuli Town and belongs to Zhouxi Township in the administrative area, is also the eastern entry point of Batongguan Historic Road. Nearby Nanan Waterfall is a waterside picnic spot for half-day trip. After the waterfall, Walami Trail begins, following Lakulaku River up, passing through cool forest where sakura and maple can be seen. Exploring Walami Trail in full requires spending the night in the mountains and the obtaining of a mountain permit. There is a cabin on the trail for trekkers to stay.
Batongguan Historic Trail
The Batongguan Historic Trail was originally the central road of the three roads built by Shen Bao-zhen in the 19th Century. It starts in Zhushan Township in Nantou County and ends at Yuli Township in Hualien County. The road was rebuilt in the Japanese era, taking a new route, and the parts of the road that survive today are mainly part of the Japanese-built road. Most of the old road is hidden by undergrowth but it's traces are clearly visible on Batong grassland.

Luntian Recreation Area
The recreation area is at Luntian tribe, Gufeng village in Zhuoxi Township, a Bunun tribe settlement. The buildings in the recreation area have a strong Bunun flavor. The area has a trail that was once a path used by the tribe when hunting or going on head-hunting expeditions and now, after repair work, is a mountain trail. while you walk the trail think of the powerful and vigorous warriors who once moved stealthily through the forest.
