Baguashan Scenic Area is divided into 'Baguashan', 'Baiguoshan', and ' Songboling' recreational systems. County 139 Landscape Road is the main route to connect the whole area. Biking along this route, visitors have beautiful panoramic views of Changhua plain, landscapes along high speed rail, and endless succession of peaks and ridges, and sunset over the Taiwan Straits.

Starting from the Great Buddha Sculpture Scenic Area near Changhua City, this statue which measures 72 feet in height from it's lotus seat to the top is a famous landmark in Changhua. There are also other tourist sites nearby, including 'Anti-Japanese Memorial Park' and '1895 Baguashan Anti-Japanese Martyrs' Museum.' Hushanyan, Cingshueiyan, Bishanyan, Baozang Temple, and Shoutian Temple offer the track of long-standing ancient history. Beside, Residence of Shetou Cijiao, Liou Residence of Yuemei Pond, and Duohulong Ancient Houses are considered valuable Minnan-style architecture.

Baguashan also offers a variety of outdoor activities for visitors. Trails along Baigushan (Longding Historic Trail, Great Wall Trail, and Tengshan Trail), Tea Fragrance Trail, Tianzhong Forest Park, Chihshueiyi Park Area, and Ershui Dengmiao Trail are great choices for mountain hikers.Visitors are also able to enjoy a tour on the bike to explore some highly recommended bikeways, including Youngxing Bikeway, Evergreen Bicycle Path, and Ershui Bikeway.

The Sky Bridge located in Houtanjing Recreation Area is considered the longest suspension bridge in Taiwan. Visitors are able to overlook Changhua Plain from the bridge. The recreation area is also an ideal place to enjoy the wonderful view of sunset and landscapes along the high speed rail.

There are also many scenic restaurants nearby for visitors to enjoy the night view in the evening. Besides, 'Alice's Garden', located right above Fenyuan's Baozang Temple, is a theme park full of fairy tale atmosphere, making it a perfect destination for lovers and families.

Baguashan is the temporary abode of the Gray-faced Buzzard Hawk on it's northward migration. Every spring (March), there are groups of hawks hovering in the sky, creating a magnificent sight. Besides, this place is rich in full ecology including species of birds, butterflies, reptiles, mammals, and forests, making Baguashan full of vitality.

With topography of hills and terraces and mild climate, Bagua Scenic Area is suitable to grow agricultural products, such as Songbo Evergreen Tea of Songboling, Cingshan Tea of Nantou, lychee of Fenyuan, star fruit of Yuanlin, guava of Shetou, pomelo of Ershui, pineapple of Mingjian, and candied fruits of Baiguoshan. In addition, there are special, tasty snack like Changhua meat balls, stewed meat with rice, and rice vermicelli of Fongkeng.

Public transportation

By train: Get off on Western line (Changhua station, Yuanlin station, Tianzhong station, Ershui station) and take Changhua Bus to other destination

#Passengers getting off at Ershui station can take Jiji Line to Jhuoshuei station and then take the bus to Songboling Recreation Area.

By Bus: Changhua Bus is available in surrounding townships (Changhua station, Yuanlin station, Tianzhong station, Ershui station, and Nantou station)
