Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area

大鵬灣

Introduction

Established in 1997, Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area is a multi functional national recreation area for the public. This scenic area which situates in southern Taiwan is considered a subtropical weather spot where the cozy climate is suitable for water sports and bicycling. Another feature in this scenic area is natural lagoon terrain where subsist mangroves and fiddler crabs. Visitors can enjoy various equipment and activities in Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area.

Environmental Education Theme

Natural lagoon terrain is one of the characteristics in Dapeng Bay and therefore lives exist in the lagoon terrain such as mangroves, mudskippers and fiddler crabs are focus to be observed. Participants may learn their living environment and ways of reproduction to appreciate the valuable wetland ecology and to respect lives through observing animals and plants subsist in wetlands.
