There is a long history in Tsou Tribe. The most ancient Kuba, existing only in Tabangu and Tefuye village nowadays, is the spiritual and sacred premise for Tsou Tribe. Kuba well reflects Tsou's cultural, political, social ethics and social structure.Dendrobium orchid("Fideu" in Tsou) on the roof of Kuba is the God flower, and red fruit fig-tree on the right of Kuba is the God tree. In the center of Kuba, there is a fire pot burning all the year, which represents passing the torch to the next generation. When walking into Youyoubasi, located in Leye village, you will see that this area preserves the full history of the Tsou tribe. Tourists see dazzling handicrafts, along with five sets of tea houses that are an imitation of the Tsou Tribe's old-time tribal customs. When visitors arrive they will pass toon grass that is left at the door, because the Tsou people believed that passing through toon grass takes away a traveler's exhaustion, and that after travelers were rejuvenated it would be a great time for them to experience the Tsou's great hospitality, food, and wine.
