Tsou Tribe Fona Festival Limited to Couples in the Winter!

The "Fona Festival"is held in November each year in Alishan Township. "Fona" is a traditional delicacy of the Tsou tribe, and celebrate with them along with their songs and dance.After being in the excitement of the celebration, why not visit Zou Jhu Yuan, a place dedicated to coffee, where you can taste aromatic fresh high mountain coffee, and experience the harvest, shucking, peeling, roasting and grinding process of making coffee. While your still ready for more, don't forget to visit the most famous Fushan Ancient Trail of the Leye village, which is a roughly 1 hour hike. On the way not only will you be able to enjoy the forest's pythoncidere and admire the Chiyu Waterfall next to bridge No.3, but also look afar at the Tfuya and Tabangu village. It is truely a romantic and healthy winter tour!

Sunrise Impression Light up Alishan

Where to countdown to the new year? Alishan's famous scenery "watching the sunrise at Duei Gau Mountain observatory/Shiau Li Yuan Mountain" presents with different atmosphere and colors for each of the four seasons. The best welcoming ceremony for the new year is to countdown in the sea of clouds and beautiful sunrise. Beginning in 2003, Alishan holds a "Sunrise Impression Music Concert" on January 1st, using diverse forms of music to present the harmony between music and nature. A variety of spectacular performances are showed in Duei Gau Mountain observatory, Jhushan station, the visitor center and Shiang Lin Sacred Tree, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to take part. If you want to experience a musical feast high up in the mountains, why not chose to countdown at Alishan with friends and family this year!
