If arriving at MRT Beitou Station before noon, a leisurely saunter through Beitou Market is a good idea. The market has over 200 stalls, a “must” for authentic local snacking treats.
After eating to your palate's content at the market, take a walk of 10-15 minutes heading for the hot springs tour. If you want to grasp the Beitou hot springs cultural phenomenon and its splendor, you can visit the Beitou Hot Springs Museum for culture immersion in depth. Beitou Park Outdoor Hot Spring Bathing Pool & Long Nice Hot Springs

Beyond the many hot springs inns and hotels to choose from, there are two special spots that must be mentioned. The first is the Beitou Park Outdoor Hot Spring Bathing Pool, beside the Beitou Hot Springs Museum, which has six areas of differing temperature, from low to high. The mineral waters piped in are the green sulfur waters of nearby Thermal Valley. You can soak for hours for just a little fee, with superb mountainous views around. The second site is the oldest hot springs bathhouse in Beitou, Long Nice Hot Springs. Inside are separate bathing pools for men and women ; the interior is a veritable time-travel display of early Beitou, witness to a rich local hot springs history.
